Hasshaku-sama is a woman standing eight feet tall (about 240 cm), usually wearing a white dress and a large straw hat. She appears in rural areas, specifically targeting young men.
According to the legend, it was originally a personal experience shared anonymously on 2ch. As a child, the poster visited his grandfather's house in the countryside and heard strange thudding footsteps. His grandfather warned him never to respond if he heard anyone calling his name.

The next day, he saw an abnormally tall woman standing in a distant field, wearing white clothes and a straw hat. When she turned around, she had an eerie smile on her face. The boy ran home in terror, and his grandfather immediately sent him back to the city.
Years later, when he returned to the countryside, he found his grandfather had passed away. The villagers said his grandfather had been protecting him all along, keeping Hasshaku-sama away.
