Teke Teke

Teke Teke is a terrifying figure in modern Japanese urban legends, whose upper body can move at incredible speed.

【Description】

Teke Teke is a woman with only an upper body. She supports herself with her hands, dragging her legless torso, and chases prey at incredible speed. She makes a teke teke sound as she moves, which is where her name comes from.

She was supposedly a woman who was cut in half by a train while walking along the railway. Because her death was so gruesome, her vengeful spirit became a monster with only an upper body.

【Encounter】

If you encounter her on the road, she will ask: Where is my lower body? If you dont know, she will cut you in half with her chainsaw, making you into the same kind of monster as her.

【The Horror】

The horror of Teke Teke lies in her incredible speed—even with only an upper body, she can outrun a running person. This legend began spreading in the 1990s, supposedly originating from a real incident in Hokkaido.
